Training and Qualifications

My own search for what works means I have explored and studied many different modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, NLP, neuroscience, systemic constellations, CliftonStrengths coaching and hypnotherapy, as well as pure coaching.

NLP Master Practitioner

International Training Seminars 2010

Studying Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) was for me a crucial first step into understanding how we all individually see the world, an understanding that has become so much a part of me that I no longer notice it (very often!) but is a huge help in getting to know coaching clients quickly and grasping their desires and challenges.

European Coaching Programme

International Training Seminars 2010

My first International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited training in the fundamentals of a well-grounded Coaching practice and an excellent one at that, offering a thorough grounding in the ICF’s core competencies and standards.

Applied Neuroscience

International Training Seminars 2013

A truly riveting and eye-opening review of how our brains work and what is helpful and what is not helpful. Seeing how quickly the brain can update when presented with a new perspective on a long-held belief is an important underpinning of my view of coaching.

CliftonStrengths Assessment Coach

Gallup 2015

I grew up in a family where I was very seldom praised so finding a system that had at its foundation what I was Good at felt like huge shift. I find working with clients from this starting point produces a dramatic reframing and excellent place to start as it is fun, engaging and instantly makes people feel better about themselves.

The CliftonStrengths Assessment from Gallup uses a series of Strongly Agree – Disagree questions to identify our talents into 34 categories, ranking the most predominant most highly and giving us an extraordinarily accurate picture of where we should concentrate our attention.

Foundation Training in Systemic Constellations

The Centre for Systemic Constellations (CSC) 2018

I undertook the foundation training in Systemic Constellation work to fully understand the nature of systemic thinking in relation to human systems.

This methodology enables me to get clear about the issues that are ours to carry and those which belong in the wider field. These may be family issues, organizational issues or health symptoms. This enables me to hold up a wider lens that clarifies where an issue may belong or may originate, so that we aren’t entangled in what does not belong to us, freeing up energy for our own lives, rather than carrying unnecessary weight from our wider families or organizations.

Certified Hypnotherapist and RTT™ (Rapid Transformational Therapy) Practitioner

Hypnosis allows us to bypass the conscious egoic mind with all its chatter and fears and tap into our deeper wealth of knowing. It allows us to go back to the origins of our beliefs or health problems and gain insight into what is really going on and whether what we hold to be true still is.

That’s why I find the marriage of Coaching and RTT so satisfying and helpful. First we are able to address any limiting beliefs that are holding you back, then through coaching we can embed new beliefs that enable you to get to where you want to be. Adding in CliftonStrengths Coaching adds even more power to this process allowing you to focus on what you are naturally good at to turbocharge the transformation.

International Coaching Federation (ICF) member

I am currently working towards full accreditation with the ICF as the gold standard for professional coaches.

"Harriet brings a warmth and humour to her coaching that made me feel instantly at home. I feel in safe hands with her. Skilled at challenging me to see myself clearly and encouraging me to get to the essence of who I am, Harriet supported me in identifying my obstacles and finding ways to surmount them. Essentially, I get more done with Harriet coaching me and I feel more empowered and better about myself with her insightful support. I highly recommend Harriet as a Coach."
